On a hot 4th of July afternoon, Allegheny County 911 dispatched a structure fire assignment to Grandview Avenue in North Braddock. 207 Chief arrived on scene and reported a working fire involving three houses. The second alarm was struck, bringing Quint 1 to the scene. Quint 1 was assigned to ladder side Charlie and assist in extinguishment. Quint 1’s crew made entry via a ladder to the second floor of the original fire building with a hand line, extinguished a room on fire on the second floor and performed overhaul. Due to the hot day, multiple additional companies responded to rotate crews through rehab. The Quint operated on the scene for about 3 hours before being released.
